Breast Reduction | Auburn, AL
Large breasts can create both physical and psychological problems for women. Neck pain, back pain, and shoulder pain have been linked to the strain that large breasts put on your body. Furthermore, some women experience rashes and skin irritation under their breasts. Other women feel self-conscious about the size of their breasts, and are limited in their daily activity and clothing choices. Breast reduction surgery can improve these symptoms and restore self-confidence.

What can I expect from a consultation with Dr. Aquadro?
At East Alabama Plastic Surgery we believe you should be well informed about any procedure you are considering. At your initial consult, Dr. Aquadro will discuss your concerns and personal goals. He will then examine you and offer his opinion on how to achieve your goals. There are many techniques for breast reduction, but they all involve removal of excess breast tissue and skin. Dr. Aquadro will explain the surgery and discuss the potential risks and benefits with you.
What to expect the day of surgery?
Dr. Aquadro performs his surgeries at East Alabama Medical Center. On the day of surgery, Dr. Aquadro will make some marks on you in the preoperative holding area and confirm the surgery details with you. The surgery usually takes two to three hours. Most people go home the same day. A supportive bra will be placed at the time of surgery. Absorbable sutures are used, so there is no need to remove any sutures. Most women return to work within five to seven days. Full strenuous activity can be resumed at four weeks. Noticeable results will be present immediately, but the final result may not be present for three to six months.
