Juvederm Voluma | Auburn, AL
As our skin ages, the collagen and elastin in the dermis becomes damaged and thinner. We also lose subcutaneous volume of fat and bone in our faces. As a result the signs of aging such as wrinkles, bags under the eyes, deflated appearing cheeks, thin lips, jowling and loss of jaw line begin to appear. As a plastic surgeon, Dr. Aquadro can address each of the three main causes of an aged appearing face—skin damage, loss of volume, and laxity. Fortunately, Juvederm Voluma is FDA approved for volume replacement in the cheeks with minimal downtime. Each treatment lasts up to two years!
How is Juvederm Voluma used to produce a rejuvenated look?
Juvederm ® Voluma is injected as small aliquots into areas that have lost volume over time as a normal aging process. When placed in the cheeks, the gel provides a subtle lift to the overlying tissues and produces a youthful contour.

- Cheeks

- Temples*

*Juvederm Voluma is approved by the FDA for the treatment of the cheek area. All other uses are considered “off-label.”
What is Juvederm Voluma?
Juvederm Voluma is a FDA approved gel consisting of a natural substance that is injected into volume depleted areas to create a more youthful appearance. Juvederm ® Voluma is similar to Juvederm, Restylane, and Belotero in that it is made of hyaluronic acid which is found naturally throughout your body. Juvederm Voluma differs in subtle characteristics that provide more lift when placed into the deep compartments of the face to restore lost volume.
