DERMAPLANING
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the top layer of dead skin cells and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It is a quick procedure with few to no adverse effects. It’s also a great treatment to combine with other facial treatments or light chemical peels because it allows products to penetrate more readily into the deeper layers.
Dermaplaning is most often used on patients with rough, dry skin, superficial hyperpigmentation, mild acne scarring, or fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment results in a more refined, smooth, “glowing” appearance.
MICRODERMABRASION
Resurfacing is a technique for removing the topmost layer of skin leaving it supple and vibrant. The skin is gently exfoliated with micronized crystals while vacuuming the dead skin cells away. Removing this outer layer of dead skin cells leave a smoother texture and promotes the growth of healthy new skin cells and collagen production.
For those who do not want the downtime associated with peels and laser procedures, microdermabrasion is a wonderful alternative as it is non-invasive and requires no social downtime after treatment. Normal activities may resume immediately. You will experience softer, smoother skin after the first treatment. A treatment series ranges from 3 to 6 sessions depending on your skin type and condition.
