The Madonna Lift is the newest way to treat the loose saggy skin around the eyelids. Dr. Aquadro uses the most advanced fractional CO2 laser called the SmartXide DOT to treat those problem areas. The fractional laser penetrates deep into the skin around your eyes to erase wrinkles, tighten skin and elevate the eyebrows without any incisions.
What are the benefits of the Madonna Lift?
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Elevation of the eyebrow
- Improve skin tone and irregular pigmentation
- Stimulate formation of new collagen
- Minimal downtime
- Essentially pain free!
How does the Madonna Lift work?
The DOT Therapy laser precisely creates thousands of microscopic holes (DOT’s) in your eyelid skin, which induce immediate skin tightening and stimulate new collagen growth. DOT Therapy is designed to improve the skin’s texture and tone and to fight fine lines, deep wrinkles, and acne scars. Unlike other laser resurfacing technologies, DOT Therapy leaves islands of healthy tissue surrounding the microscopic DOTs. This enables your skin to heal more rapidly and minimizes overall damage. This means less downtime and less complications!
What is the Madonna Lift procedure like?
Dr. Aquadro will apply numbing cream to the areas that are going to be treated. The laser is then used to treat the desired areas. After the procedure, your skin will be slightly red similar to a sunburn. Antioxidants and hydrating creams will be applied and you can go home soon after the procedure. Your skin will be red for 24 hrs and you may have some mild swelling develop for a couple of days. Most people can apply makeup the day after the procedure and resume work.
How long does a treatment take?
Most treatments can be performed in less than 20 minutes.
How many treatments are required?
Every treatment plan is individualized to the specific patient, but generally between 1-4 treatments are required to obtain the best results. Average is 2 treatments.
Is the Madonna Lift safe?
The Deka SmartXide DOT laser has received FDA clearance. Fractionated laser treatments are safer than traditional non-fractionated laser treatments because only a portion of the skin is treated at any given time. This allows the surrounding healthy skin to provide rapid healing to the treated areas. The procedure can be performed with no sedation or local sedation. General anesthesia is not required to further reduce the risk of the procedure.
